Veteran’s Benefits

veteransWartime veterans and their surviving spouses may be entitled to a special monthly pension called Aid and Attendance. This program is administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, also known as the VA. This special monthly pension may be available when a wartime veteran or their spouse have either in-home care or live in an assisted living facility or a nursing home. To be eligible for this benefit, there are certain military service requirements that must be met, and in addition, there is a “needs” or asset limit requirement.
